The electronic system for the protection of the perimeter fence of the Sarajevo International Airport complex was put into operation

Sarajevo International Airport continuously invests efforts to improve the security system and ensure the smooth flow of air traffic.

One of our priorities was to achieve a higher level of security for all subjects participating in this process, and we enabled the establishment of an electronic system for the protection of the perimeter fence of the Sarajevo International Airport complex.

A video-surveillance system has been installed on the 11,5 km long perimeter, the aim of which is to protect against possible unauthorized access to the airport complex. The fence is equipped with state-of-the-art cameras with advanced capabilities, which detect any potential unwanted activity in the perimeter area.

In this regard, a presentation of this system was held today at Sarajevo International Airport, attended by the Director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Mirko Kuprešaković and OSA-Intelligence-Security Agency director Mr. Almir Džuvo. It was concluded that the implementation of this system is particularly important due to the preservation of security and protection of the state border of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This significant step in the improvement of the security system is the result of the joint successful cooperation of the Sarajevo International Airport, the BiH Border Police and OSA Intelligence-Security Agency and confirms the commitment of the Sarajevo Airport in ensuring the highest security standards, which is a key aspect of the business and services we provide.
